Disposal of Plant Nappy® products.
Disposing of a Plant Nappy; note for guidance only. The Plant Nappy has no hazardous content. It is, however, designed to safely contain spills of substances that may be classified as hazardous as described in the Environmental Protection Act 1990 s156. The Hazardous Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2005. If an uncontaminated Plant Nappy is to be discarded due to damage etc then it may be disposed of together with other wastes identified with the waste code "20 03 01 mixed municipal waste" in line with The List of Wastes (England) Regulations 2005 (if produced on a construction site then it will fall under "17 09 04 mixed construction and demolition wastes other than those mentioned in 17 09 01, 17 09 02 and 17 09 03"). If a contaminated Plant Nappy or liner is to be discarded then it will normally fall under waste code "15 02 02" absorbents, filter materials (including oil filters not otherwise specified), wiping cloths, protective clothing contaminated by dangerous substances".
