Plant Nappy Disposal
All waste transfers are subject to the The Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011
The Plant Nappy® is reusable.
The Plant Nappy was developed to be reused time and time again. If using a liner, once the product has been saturated with oil, you can either squeeze the oil free and fit the liner back into place, or pressure wash in a controlled environment and allow to dry, then refit.
If the liner is not used, pressure wash in a controlled environment and allow to dry, then refit.
How To Dispose of The Plant Nappy
Is it contaminated?
Yes
For Plant Nappies & Liners
It is to be discarded then it will normally fall under waste code "15 02 02" absorbents, filter materials (including oil filters not otherwise specified), wiping cloths, protective clothing contaminated by dangerous substances.

Due to damage etc then it may be disposed of together with other wastes identified with the waste code "20 03 01 mixed municipal waste" in line with The List of Wastes (England) Regulations 2005.
For Construction Sites
(if produced on a construction site then it will fall under "17 09 04 mixed construction and demolition wastes other than those mentioned in 17 09 01, 17 09 02 and 17 09 03").
Disposal of Multiple
For Uncontaminated Plant Nappies
To be discarded or to be mixed with other absorbents; then waste code "15 02 03" absorbents, filter materials, wiping cloths and protective clothing other than those mentioned in "15 02 02" will apply.
Is it hazardous?
The Plant Nappy has no hazardous content
It is, however, designed to safely contain spills of substances that may be classified as hazardous as described in the The Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011.
